Sportminister Richard Visser and Aruba’s freestyle World
Champion Sarah-Quita Offringa gave 60 prices to the winners of the 24th
Aruba Hi-Winds. Organisers Wim Eelens and Maartje Dolfing asked all 148
participants to ask family members and friends to come to the 25th edition of
Hi-Winds next year. “In 2011 Hi-Winds will be a very special one,” minister
Visser said.
For more than an hour awards were handed and special attention was given
to the smallest ones: the Guppies (6-7 years) and the Barracudas (8-9 years).
All kids were asked to come to the stage, received certificates and awards.
The youngest participant, 6 year old Max Schettewi, received a special medal
of honour. He promised to practice well and come back bigger and stronger
next year!
